Steinbauer Bimmer!

BMW 635 CSI Useful Links
1 October 2009: OsCar rolled off the assembly line in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany.

No idea what happened between then and now.
2 February 2026:
Ownership of OsCar changed over to the Steinbauers

8 February 2026:  Been driving OsCar all week and it was fun!  There are of course changes that need to be made like getting used to that this car has 6 gears.  Since I don't know when what was done I have to change:
- oil
- oil filter
- air filter

Also need to check OsCar out from front to back and top to bottom.  First think I need to change out are the Rear Trunk Hatch Shocks Struts Lift Gate Supports since the trunk lid hit me in the head too many times.

9 February 2026:  Arrived yesterday but installed today.  A new cabin filter and lifters for the trunk.  Cabin filter was so dirty that you could not even see light when holding it up with the sun shining at it.
16 February 2026:  Did an oil change at 95,000 miles along with an air filter change.  I have to say that I was amused by the little door to the oil drain plug.
Also installed new lifters for the trunk.  Now it opens a lot easier.
20 February 2026:  The Fahrvergnügen did not last very long.  I am getting error code P1006 and P1014 which means there is a faulty valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor.  Easy to replace from the way it looks  Not this weekend since we have Winter visiting  On the same note, it was 12F this morning and the Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor (TPMS) gave out.  Funny part is that OsCar does not display the typical symptons like severe idle, sluggish acceleration, long crank times, and engine hesitation.  I do have the Check Engine light on and unlike any other codes that can be cleared and stay off for a while, this one pops right back on.
